Applying to College

At CCCapply, create an OpenCCC account. This is a statewide system.

While logged into your OpenCCC account, Start A New Application to apply to Clovis Community College.

Students are eligible to apply for admission to Clovis Community College if you meet one of these requirements:

  • Are at least 18 years old, or
  • Have graduated from high school (including CHSPE or GED), or
  • Are a junior or senior in high school and have the permission of your parents, high school counselor, high school principal, and community college counselor

Students will be required to meet all steps for Student Success if they intend to obtain a degree or certificate at Clovis Community College or to transfer to a four-year college or university. The steps listed below are part of the Student Success process. Under certain conditions students may not be required to complete some of these steps. Please contact the Counseling Office for details, or see the Student Success Checklist and Student Success Exemption Worksheet.

  1. Complete the Admission Application online. For detailed instructions about the online application process, download "Instructions to apply on-line beginning September 6, 2016".
  2. Request former high school or college to forward one complete transcript to Clovis Community College at 10309 N. Willow Ave., Fresno, CA, 93720, or if appropriate, present a certificate of proficiency awarded by the State Board of Education.
  3. Complete the Online Orientation
  4. Take a placement test. This test will provide useful guidance for the student and counselor in arranging each student's academic program, will aid in establishing a suggested placement in certain courses, and provide information for career guidance assistance.

  2. Request your high school to forward one complete transcript to Clovis Community College at 10309 N. Willow Ave., Fresno, CA, 93720, or if appropriate, present a certificate of proficiency awarded by the State Board of Education.
  3. Develop a student educational plan to assist in meeting your educational objective. Please contact Clovis Community College Counseling Office at (559-325-5230) to schedule an appointment.

High school juniors and seniors (11th and 12th grades) may be admitted to regular college classes on a part-time basis. Admission requires permission from the high school and the college and the completion of the Educational Enrichment (EE) Application. The EE application can be picked up at the Clovis Community College Student Services Office located in AC2 or call (559) 325-5230.

  2. Submit one transcript in English translation of all work completed in high school and college along with the results of examinations.
  3. Submit an affidavit of financial support.
  4. Submit evidence of a negative tuberculin skin test taken in the U.S. not more than six months prior to entering college.
  5. Show proof of medical insurance or purchase insurance offered through the college.
