Public Hearing & Approved:

  • Renewal of College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) Partnership Agreements (AB 288 Dual Enrollment)

Grant Agreements:

  • Fresno City College has received a new $55,000 eXtended Reality agreement from California State University Fresno Foundation. The funding is made available from the National Science Foundation to integrate new educational technologies such as eXtended-Reality (XR) for systematically exploring the benefits of alternative techniques for supporting active learning. The funding will provide the resources to: develop a community of practice; develop XR content/activity repository; conduct in-class trails/pilots (via faculty researchers) to compare the effectiveness of different types of XR experience; conduct professional development to engage the HIS STEM community in determining and disseminating best practices for XR use in STEM classrooms. The funding will be received over three years.
  • Reedley College has received a $150,000 CCC Finish Line Scholars renewal agreement from The Foundation for California Community Colleges. The funding is made available from the Jay Pritzker Foundation. The funding will allow the college to continue the CCC Finish Lines Scholars Program, which provides scholarships and emergency financial aid to help students overcome the short-term financial barriers that may prevent them from beginning or staying enrolled in community college.

Closed Session:

Following closed session, the Board reports as follows:
On March 1, 2022, the Board of Trustees of the State Center Community College District, unanimously took action to terminate a permanent Police Communications Dispatcher. The time allotted for the employee to appeal the decision has passed. The Board’s action has now become final.
