Resolution No. 2019.28 Establishment of Sikh Association of Fresno as an offsite location for Fresno City College classes

Resolution 2019.29 for Determination of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Compliance for the Fresno City College Parking and Facilities

Expansion Projects (Science Building, Child Development Center and Maintenance and Operations Building)

Resolution 2019.30 for Determination of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Compliance for the Reedley College Child Development Center Project

Approved the following grant agreement recommendations:

Fresno City College and Reedley College will receive $50,000 each per year for two years for a K12 Strong Workforce Program Grant from Valley Regional Occupational Program to provide counseling services for students enrolled in pathway programs.

Reedley College has received a new $7,280 Child Development Training Consortium agreement from Yosemite Community College District. The funding is made available from the California Department of Education and will provide stipends to RC and MCCC child development students who are continuing with college and working in the field of early care and education.

Reedley College has received a new $60,000 Upward Mobility Pathways Project agreement from Reading and Beyond - California Bridge Academies. The funding will provide employment and supportive services to at least 144 CalFresh students to assist with increasing the completion of certificates and associate degrees.

Reedley College has received a new $20,000 Mitsuoka Endowment Fund from the Central Valley Community Foundation to provide outreach activities to K-12 schools in Dinuba, Reedley and Orosi.

Reedley College has received a $100,000 renewal agreement from the California Community College Chancellor's Office for Reedley Middle College High School.

Report of Actions Taken in Closed Session:

The Board voted unanimously to approve the settlement in the case of De La Rosa v. State Center Community College District. The plaintiff will be paid $9,500; in exchange, the plaintiff will dismiss his lawsuit with prejudice and waive and release all claims against the District.
