The Board of Trustees Recognized outgoing 2016-17 student trustees Kaura Lopez (FCC) and Ernesto Duran (RC).

Heard the following reports and updates:

  • Oakhurst Community College Center progress and activities
  • RC strategic plan for 2017-21
  • Capital Construction Projects and Bond Measures C and E Update

Approved the following:

  • Academic personnel transactions, as amended
  • Classified personnel transactions, as submitted
  • Six-month limited-term position of Senior Human Resources Technician, DO
  • Six-month limited-term position of Institutional Research Coordinator, DO
  • Six-month limited-term position of Textbook Purchasing Clerk, FCC
  • New classified position of Job Developer, MCCC
  • 2018 summer study abroad programs to Oxford, England and Ireland
  • Letter of support for Trustee Leal regarding his nomination for regional director, ACCT
  • Equal Employment Opportunity Fund Multiple Methods Allocation Model certification form for 2016-17 fiscal year

Approved the following grant agreement recommendations:

  • Wonderful Agriculture Career Camp, West Hills CCD, RC
  • CACFP Mandatory and Elective Trainings, CA Dept. of Ed, FCC

Approved the following bids:

  • Bush Engineering, Inc., for Parking Lot Improvements, CCC
  • Central Valley Asphalt for Parking Improvements (Phase I), Overflow Parking, RC
  • Bush Engineering, Inc., for Kings River Slope Stabilization, RC
  • Accepted completed construction project for Pool Demolition and Concrete Improvements, RC

Adopted the following resolutions:

  • No. 2017.07 Designating the week of May 21-27, 2017, as Classified School Employee Week at SCCCD
  • No. 2017.06, Notice of Intent to Establish an Appropriations (GANN) Limit for the 2017-18 Fiscal Year
  • No. 2017.08, Authorizing agreement with CDE for Child and Adult Care Food Program, FCC
  • No. 2017.05, Affording student trustees the privilege to make and second motions
