Community Involvement

Work-Based Learning and Career Education

Would you like to be involved in helping foster career success for students? Research indicates that students’ involvement with business and industry partners during college and university often provides the foundation for career success through exploration, mentorship, hands-on experience, and the development of social capital. Additionally, working directly with students is a terrific way of identifying and developing the talent your company needs!

There are numerous ways you or others in your business could be involved, ranging from being a guest speaker or sitting on a panel, being part of an advisory or apprenticeship committee, hosting a tour of your facility, participating in informational interviews, hosting students for job shadow experiences, to hosting interns for a period of time. Please contact Kelley Benzler, Administrative Aide for CTE, at 559-325-5420 or Robbie Kunkel, Dean of Instruction for CTE, at 559-325-5208 for more information.
