Student Vaccine Religious Exemption

State Center Community College District (SCCCD) is committed to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for all students by requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition to enter any indoor space on District property, effective November 15, 2021.

Students with sincerely held religious beliefs, practices, or observances, which are contrary to the practice of vaccinations, may petition for a religious exemption to the District’s COVID-19 vaccination requirement.

How to submit a request:

  1. Login to My Portal
  1. Click on the Sign In button and log into My Portal with your student credentials.
     
  2. Scroll down to the Resource Links portlet and click on the link titled COVID-19 Vaccination Religious Exemption Form.
     
  3. After clicking on the link, your campus Vaccination Religious Exemption Request form will display. You will need to agree to the Adobe terms of use and privacy policy by clicking on the Continue button located at the bottom of the screen to activate the form.
     
  4. Follow the directions and prompts on the form to complete the process. This will include using your college email address to verify the submission of your form (you may need to check your Junk Email folder).

Completed forms must be submitted as soon as possible, but no later than November 10, 2021. Please allow a minimum of 10 days for review. You will be notified of your approval status via your college email account. The approval status is shown at the bottom of page 2 of the form.

Unvaccinated individuals with an approved exemption will be subject to testing, as well as other preventative measures (including but not limited to masking, daily health checks, social distancing, etc.) to protect the health and well-being of others.
