Sukaina is a faith-based community organizer with Faith in the Valley here in Fresno, CA. She is originally from Chicago and, as a Muslim woman, has a passion for building bridges across Interfaith communities. Sukaina’s presentation will focus on the Muslim community and the misunderstanding of culture and religion. Her presentation will take place in AC1-150 (Lecture Hall).
Sukaina's presentation will be followed by a reception in front of the Café at 11:00 a.m.
The Clovis Community College Muslim Student Association will also be hosting this event in front of the Café from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Here is your chance to try on a Hijab (religious head scarf) and learn more about its significance.
