CVC-OEI Updates

If you haven't heard, Clovis Community College has been invited to join the CVC-OEI as a teaching college.

As a teaching college, we have the opportunity to submit our courses to the Course Design Academy and to receive an exemplary course badge. All online courses in the California Community College system will be listed in the virtual catalog on their site, but courses that have a badge will be shown first in the list. There are currently three designations for badges: one for zero-cost materials, one for completing the course design academy, and one for being part of the C-ID. 

Not all California Community Colleges have the ability to submit to the Course Design Academy, but we do. Our goal is to make it so all of our online courses that are eligible to submit are submitted. Your course is eligible if it's fully online, you've taught it for at least one semester, and it's part of the C-ID or an ADT.

Canvas Updates September / October 2018

Export Canvas Calendar to Outlook

You can merge your Canvas calendar with your Outlook calendar. This lets you see all your course due dates and scheduler appointments in Outlook. 

Canvas App

Faculty and students can now insert an image into the Rich Text Editor using the Canvas App. 

Canvas Extra Credit

Add an image to your course and it will show up on your dashboard. Images work best when they are 262x146 pixels.
