The taxpayer is suggested to register in advance by calling the United Way hotline at 211 or 1-866-559-4211. Walk-ins are accepted, but the spaces are limited. The taxpayers are asked to bring the following documents:
Social Security cards for all taxpayers and dependents who are listed on the tax return.
Tax forms for all income received in 2022, including W-2 forms, 1099 forms, 1099-R forms, W-2G forms, and any other forms showing income.
Upon submitting all necessary documents, the taxpayer sits with a tax preparer to complete their tax return.
Eligibility to qualify for free tax filing – students, staff, or community members meeting the following criteria:
Income less than $60,000
No rental income (from a property you own)
Did not file for bankruptcy last year
Had no cancellation of debt outside of non-business credit cards
No clergy income
If married, should be filing jointly
Had no self-employment income with more than $10,000 in expenses or businesses with inventory
