Office of Administrative Services Update - October 2025

October 2025 Update

October kept us on our toes—with exciting events, important planning meetings, and lots of forward movement on projects.

We kicked off the month with a memorable groundbreaking celebration for the ISE Diamond L.I.F.E. Sports Complex. It was a truly inspiring event, and I was thrilled to witness the strong support from our college, district, and community partners.

Later that same day, I traveled to Irvine to attend the Collective Equity Impact Institute. The conference offered valuable insights into equity-centered strategies that prioritize student needs, foster success, and promote inclusive practices.

Throughout October, we continued our planning meetings for the Kinesiology and Wellness building. Significant progress was made to keep the project aligned with state deadlines and ensure we remain on track.

I also participated in vendor interviews for the districtwide EV Charging Project, which will bring upgraded and additional EV charging stations to our campus. More details will be shared once the selected vendor receives board approval.

A big thank you to everyone on campus for your efforts in meeting deadlines for Foundation mini-grant submissions and staffing requests. Your collaboration is greatly appreciated, and we’ll continue to provide updates as these processes move forward.

Important Reminder:

Action Plan requests are due Friday, November 7. Please ensure submissions are completed on time.

Project Updates:

AC1 Camera Installation: Completed

AC3 Study Desk Barriers (2nd Floor) Installation: Completed

AC3 Reflection Room & Study Room Window Tinting: Installed; pending modification to address a gap between tint pieces

AC3-108 External Cooling System: Installation initiated; scheduling for completion is underway

AC3 Bird Deterrent Netting: Installed above interior horseshoe doors; however, ravens have relocated to the northwest entrance. We’re working on a solution to address this new nesting area.

I truly appreciate everyone’s hard work and collaboration this past month with the many deadlines October brings. It’s been a busy time, and I’m grateful for the way our campus continues to come together to move things forward. Looking ahead, I’m excited for what November will bring.
