Office of Administrative Services Update - November 2025

November 2025 Update

I hope everyone enjoyed a restful break at the end of November! It’s always nice to have a little time to recharge before the final push toward the end of the semester.

November is such an exciting month and even with fewer days, there was plenty happening! Early in the month, I had the privilege of attending the State Center Community College Foundation Heritage Society Dinner, where several individuals and organizations were honored for their generous contributions to our programs and students across the district. A special highlight was seeing Ms. Jami Hamel De La Cerda and the Diamond Learning Center recognized as a Pillar Society Member for their outstanding support of our athletic programs.

Mid-month, members of the Chancellor’s Cabinet joined Vice Presidents Workgroup for a professional learning workshop. The session, led by IMAGO facilitator Eric Blunt, was both insightful and interactive. We explored leadership strategies and shared meaningful stories and experiences with one another.
On November 15, I attended the Fresno Center Giving Thanks Gala alongside colleagues from our college and district. It was a truly inspiring event that celebrated the incredible work being done to uplift underserved communities.

Planning for the new Kinesiology building continued throughout the month, and we’ve made significant progress on programming for the space. Additionally, the districtwide course scheduling platform taskforce met to begin discussions on the Request for Proposal process. This taskforce will play a key role in recommending the vendor that will help us implement software for course scheduling and event planning.

Finally, as we move into the cold and rainy season, please remember to submit maintenance requests if you notice any leaks or other issues.

Let's finish the semester strong!
