Janice Sapigao

Janice Sapigao


Janice Lobo Sapigao is the author of two books of poetry: microchips for millions (Philippine American Writers & Artists, Inc., 2016) and like a solid to a shadow, which will soon be re-released through Nightboat Books. She is also the Santa Clara County Poet Laureate for 2020-2021.

She earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ethnic Studies with Honors and a minor in Urban Studies & Planning from the University of California, San Diego.

She is currently an Assistant Professor of English at Skyline College in San Bruno, CA teaching in the Kababayan and CIPHER (Hip Hop) Learning Communities.

Brynn Saito

Brynn Saito


Brynn Saito is the author of two books of poetry from Red Hen Press, Power Made Us Swoon (2016) and The Palace of Contemplating Departure (2013), winner of the Benjamin Saltman Award and a finalist for the Northern California Book Award. She’s also written two chapbooks, Dear—, published with an artist grant from Densho, and Bright Power, Dark Peace, co-written with Traci Brimhall and published by Diode Editions.

Her poems have appeared in the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, American Poetry Review, and elsewhere. Brynn co-directs Yonsei Memory Project (YMP) with Fresno artist and farmer, Nikiko Masumoto; YMP utilizes arts-based inquiry to generate dialogue connecting the WWII incarceration of the Japanese American community with current struggles for justice. She is also an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing in the English Department at California State University, Fresno.

Steven Sanchez

Steven Sanchez


Steven Sanchez is the author of Phantom Tongue (Sundress Publications, 2018), chosen by Mark Doty for the Rochelle Ratner Memorial Award.

A CantoMundo Fellow, Lambda Literary Fellow, and winner of the inaugural Federico García Lorca Poetry Prize for an emerging Latinx poet, his poems have appeared or are forthcoming in journals that include Agni, American Poetry Review, Missouri Review, North American Review, and Poet Lore.

Ronald Dzerigian

Ronald Dzerigian


Ronald Dzerigian is the author of Rough Fire (Finishing Line Press, 2018). His poems have been published in several journals, and a few newer works are featured on an experimental album produced by Aaron Espinoza (from the band Earlimart) and Jason Lytle (from the band Grandaddy). This record is scheduled for release this fall, 2020. He and his family live just outside Fresno and he teaches at Clovis Community College.
