The Clovis Law Society will be hosting Constitution Day on September 18th from 6pm to 8pm We will have a guest speaker coming from the ACLU to discuss the constitutionality of various events in today's day and age. We will be providing catering for the event.

About the speaker

Oliver Ma is a civil rights lawyer at the ACLU of Southern California.

Oliver's work focuses on immigrant rights in Kern County. He is particularly interested in engaging with grassroots advocacy and community organizing.

Oliver is a graduate of Harvard Law School. In law school, Oliver did two years of eviction defense at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, where he also engaged in organizing work with City Life Vida Urbana. Oliver is also the founder and former executive director of Asian Youth Liberty League, a nonprofit that trains young Asian Americans to fight for racial justice.

Oliver is excited to speak about civil rights and the constitution, tell stories of resistance, and talk about law school.
