Worldwide the vast majority of people have believed (and believe) that God exists. This fact is philosophically interesting, especially in light of the claim by many people that God is, in some important sense, hidden. One way to reconcile widespread belief in God's existence with God’s hiddenness is that, at one time God existed, but that God has ceased to exist. But, one might wonder, can God ‘simply slip out of existence’? We will explore some reasons for thinking God’s existence is impossible, and for thinking his existence is possible. We welcome you to come ready to engage!
