President Bennett extended a huge thank you, this week, to all who donated and helped to raise over fifty-two thousand dollars for student scholarships. With the SCCC Foundation matching $30,000, the grand total raised for scholarships was over eighty-two thousand dollars.
"What an amazing accomplishment..." said Dr. Bennett. "The positive impact these scholarship funds will have on our students is significant."
Dr Bennett was moved by the support given by everyone, including all the faculty and staff of Clovis Community College and SCCCD. "I am proud, honored, and humbled to serve as president of an institution that so selflessly gives to the students it serves."
On Tuesday afternoon the students and staff held a thank-you ceremony where students served hot chocolate and cookies, and the success of the fundraising campaign was announced. Clovis Community College officials, donors, and children from the on-campus Child Development Center gathered during the #ClovisCrushGivingDay press conference. Clovis Roundup covered the event.
