Playoff Preview: Home Sweet Home

The Clovis Crush Women's Soccer team enter the playoffs for the second consecutive season, this time setting a program benchmark for seeding and looking forward to the very first home playoff match in Clovis Community College history.

After a 15-3-3 campaign that saw them finish second in the Central Valley Conference, their positive results and strength of schedule proved enough to place them as the #3 seed in the CCCAA NorCal Regional Playoff Bracket. You can see the entire bracket HERE. In their first postseason appearance in 2017, the #11 Crush fell to #6 Santa Rosa 2-0 in the first round. The Crush will be excited to play at home where this season they were unbeaten with a record of 8-0-2.

The Crush will face off against a familiar opponent in #14 Taft College. The Crush scored a program record 90 goals this season and were only shut out on three occasions. Two of those were against Taft. The first conference meeting in Clovis resulted in a 0-0 draw, while the match in Taft saw the Crush lose 1-0 on a penalty kick in the 65th minute. This should make for a great matchup.

Kickoff will be on Saturday, November 17th: 2:00pm at Clovis Community College, with admission being $12 for adults and $8 for children 6-12, seniors 60+, and students/faculty/staff with current school ID. Children 5 and under are free. We hope to see a great crowd for this historic moment...Go Crush!
