PG&E is forecasting a Public Safety Power Shutdown (PSPS) that may impact some foothill areas near the Madera Community College Center @ Oakhurst campus. Your instructors are aware that some students living in the foothills may be impacted by the PSPS due to forecasted wind events in the area, and therefore potentially be without power anytime between Sunday 10/25 afternoon – Wednesday 10/28 morning.

If you live in a PSPS area and are unable to temporarily engage in your course work, then please let your instructors know via phone, email, and/or Canvas if possible. We understand some of you may have either limited internet access or completely without internet connectivity due to the PSPS circumstances. If this is the case then pro-actively contact your instructors as soon as you can.
