For National Hispanic Heritage Month, we're celebrating with performances from the CCC Music Department and Folklorico Club, a Q&A hosted by the Latino Faculty and Staff Association, and guest speaker Dolores Huerta.
Dolores Huerta is a prominent labor leader and civil rights activist who co-founded the United Farm Workers (UFW) with Cesar Chavez. She dedicated her life to improving the lives of farmworkers and advocating for social justice, particularly for women, immigrants, and the working poor. Huerta’s activism began in the 1950s, and she has been instrumental in securing better working conditions, fair wages, and legal protections for farmworkers.
Open to all students, staff, and community members! Relaxed parking in student/unmarked spaces during event times.
