Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

This September, we proudly celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month under the theme “Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future.” Join Student Activities as we recognize the vibrant culture, history, and contributions of the Hispanic community through a series of engaging events and activities. Don’t miss our kickoff celebration on September 8, featuring an inspiring appearance by renowned labor leader and activist, Dolores Huerta.

Hispanic Heritage Celebration

Monday, September 8 | 5pm – 6:30pm

Join us as we welcome Dolores Huerta, a labor leader and civil rights icon, to our campus for a keynote and Q&A session. The evening will also feature special performances from the CCC Music Department and the Folklorico Club. A reception will follow, offering an opportunity to meet Dolores Huerta. This is a historic moment for our college community; all are welcome to attend.

Come celebrate culture and tradition by learning how to make your very own piñata and discover the rich history behind this art form. This hands-on event is a fun way to connect with heritage, creativity, and community spirit.

Get ready for a vibrant evening of music, dancing, and celebration! Whether you’re an experienced dancer or just looking to have fun, this event has something for everyone from exciting live performances to start the night, DJ Cumbia Bass, food trucks, community resources/vendors, creative art activities, photo booth, and much more!
