Getting your money sooner. Financial Aid checks are placed in the U.S. mail the Wednesday, prior to the Thursday payment. Delays in receiving checks may be caused by bad addresses or errors in U.S. Postal deliveries. With direct deposit you will have your funds in your bank the morning of the disbursement.

To ensure that your payment has sufficient time to be included in the direct deposit list, accounts should be entered no later than the Friday, two weeks prior to the payment.

Only if your name is on the account. Bank accounts without your name will be rejected by the banking institutions and will not be processed. If prior to the payment we do not receive a reject notice from the bank, and we submit the direct deposit to an invalid account, it may take up to two weeks to reissue your funds.

If you change your information after the Friday, two weeks prior to the payment, you will need to contact your college business office: Clovis Community College (559) 325-5319, Fresno City College (559) 489-2234, or Reedley College (559) 638-0342Failure to do so can cause a delay in payment for as long as two weeks.

At any other time you can simply go into WebAdvisor, under the Direct Deposit link and select "delete" for the account you wish to discontinue. Your payments from that point forward will be mailed to you.

Yes, in the bank setup screen WebAdvisor will ask you to select either checking or savings. Those who may not yet qualify for a checking account, or choose not to have one, may still receive the benefit of having direct deposit.

Prior to at least the first disbursement, the school needs to send a file to validate the account information. This will show as a zero dollar credit. It does not affect your account in any way.

You do not need to do anything. You will continue to get your payments mailed to your home.
