Sometimes, First Aid isn’t a Bandage, or CPR, or the Heimlich Maneuver…Sometimes, First Aid is YOU!

Mental Health First Aid is a national certification training course that teaches participants how to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health challenges, how to listen nonjudgmentally, how to give reassurance to those who are suffering, and, if needed, how to help refer individuals to appropriate professional support and services. The skills learned are applicable to both crisis and non-crisis mental health situations.

With successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Mental Health First Aid Certification Certificate.

Clovis Community College Health and Wellness Services offer Free Mental Health First Aid classes to students once or twice a year. If you would like to be notified when the next class is scheduled, please contact our office:
